Product Description:
The P50B08100DXS4W is a brushless servo motor built by Sanyo Denki for the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. As a closed-loop actuator, it supplies repeatable torque and speed so that machine tools, pick-and-place heads, and inspection axes can follow precise motion profiles in automated lines. Its brushless magnetic circuit eliminates commutator wear, and the wiring-saving incremental encoder built into the rear housing sends position data directly to the drive, keeping cabinet wiring simple.
During rated operation, the motor draws 6.7 Arms to produce 1000 W of mechanical power at a rated speed of 3,000 rpm; the corresponding rated torque is 3.185 N·m. Under continuous-stall conditions, it can sustain 3.92 N·m while the winding current remains at the continuous-stall value of 7.5 Arms. The incremental detector provides 2,000 P/R, giving the controller detailed position data for velocity feedback. A torque constant of 0.553 N·m/Arms links line current to shaft torque, allowing the drive to regulate force through its current loops. Electrical response is supported by an electrical time constant of 5.9 ms. The 80 or 86 mm square flange allows the frame to mount to compatible IEC gearheads.
The maximum speed reaches 4,500 rpm for rapid indexing, and peak stall torque increases to 11.76 N·m when the inverter delivers the maximum stall current of 25.7 Arms. The rotor inertia is 2.651 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², while a power rate of 38.3 kW/s supports fast acceleration. Overall mass is 5.05 kg, which supports moving-axis installation while helping damp minor load shocks. The motor does not include a holding brake, so vertical loads must be secured externally when power is removed. A phase resistance of 0.41 Ω moderates resistive heating, and the brushless topology avoids brush losses during continuous operation. The frame temperature can reach 80 °C under the stated operating conditions.
