Product Description:
Sanyo Denki manufactures the P50B08075HXS50 within its P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. The unit is a brushless servo motor intended for closed-loop motion stages, indexing tables, and other automation points that demand repeatable positioning. Its permanent-magnet excitation and incremental encoder feedback provide the drive controller with the speed and position data needed to coordinate tooling and material flow on production lines. The brushless design eliminates mechanical commutation components, reducing wear during repetitive operating cycles. This configuration is suitable for automated equipment that requires accurate speed regulation and responsive changes in shaft position.
At a rated output of 750 W, the motor can deliver continuous mechanical power while remaining within its thermal limits. Peak shaft velocity reaches 3000 rpm, making the model suitable for medium-speed actuators. Position data are provided by a wiring-saving incremental encoder with a resolution of 2000 P/R, allowing the drive to issue fine correction commands without external repeater boards. The housing attaches to machinery through an 80–86 mm square flange with a flange-mounting arrangement, allowing straightforward alignment with gearboxes or direct-drive couplings. An enclosure rating of IP55 protects the internal windings from dust and low-pressure water jets. The fully enclosed, self-cooled housing dissipates heat without an external fan, while the shaft seal helps separate the motor interior from lubricant and contaminants.
The electrical insulation withstands 1500 VAC for one minute, providing a suitable dielectric barrier between energized conductors and the motor housing. The windings maintain an insulation resistance of at least 10 MΩ at 500 VDC, helping limit leakage current through the insulation system. The motor supports continuous duty, allowing it to operate at its rated load as long as applicable temperature and installation limits are observed. Its supply interface belongs to the 200 VAC voltage class, matching compatible servo amplifiers in the series. The permanent-magnet rotor supports efficient torque production without brushes, which reduces routine maintenance associated with mechanical brush wear. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so stationary loads must be secured through drive-applied torque or an external mechanical device when required.
