Product Description:
The P50B08075HXS1J is a brushless AC servo motor produced by Sanyo Denki for the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop axes in automated assembly lines, it uses a permanent-magnet rotor to convert electrical power into precise rotational motion. The unit is flange-mounted and occupies the manufacturer’s 80 mm frame class, giving machine builders a compact source of controllable torque. Its brushless design eliminates the mechanical wear and electrical noise associated with commutator brushes.
Its continuous output rating reaches 750 W, supplying three-quarters of a kilowatt of shaft power during continuous operation. The maximum commanded speed is 3000 rpm, which the drive must not exceed during acceleration profiles. Shaft position is measured by a wire-saving incremental encoder that provides 2,000 pulses per revolution of feedback, enabling motion controllers to resolve movements as small as 0.18 degrees. The IP55 housing protects internal components against dust and low-pressure water jets. An integrated spur reducer with a 1:5 gear ratio multiplies torque for low-speed axes. Spur gearing provides predictable backlash, while the 80 or 86 mm flange size accommodates compatible reducers. Installation uses the flange face, and the internal seal helps prevent lubricant loss.
The motor uses a fully enclosed, self-cooling design, so heat dissipates through the housing without external blowers or airflow through the frame. Its windings have Class F insulation, which permits an insulation-system temperature of up to 155 °C. Electrical isolation is verified by a withstand test of 1,500 VAC for 1 minute between the windings and housing. The motor uses permanent-magnet excitation to provide brushless operation and responsive torque control. It is supplied with no holding brake, so a mechanical lock or drive-applied torque must secure the load while the axis is stationary. This brake configuration should be considered when the motor is installed on vertical or gravity-loaded axes.
