Product Description:
The P50B08050DXS50 servo motor is built by Sanyo Denki for the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. As a brushless synchronous unit, it is intended for closed-loop speed and position control in industrial robots, packaging lines, and semiconductor-handling modules. When connected to a matching amplifier, the motor delivers commanded torque for precise operating cycles. Its brushless configuration reduces routine maintenance and supports extended operation in automated machinery.
Under continuous duty, the rotor supplies 500 W of mechanical power at a rated shaft speed of 3,000 rpm, producing 1.589 N·m while the stator draws 3.9 A RMS. The motor has a copper resistance of 0.94 Ω, which affects current flow and thermal rise during operation. A peak stall torque of 5.88 N·m supports brief overloads, while the maximum no-load speed reaches 4,500 rpm. With a flange footprint of 80 or 86 mm, the frame fits compact gearboxes and allows close axis spacing in multi-station machinery. The moderate phase resistance also helps control inrush current when the motor is connected to a compatible drive.
Drive response is supported by a torque constant of 0.473 N·m/A RMS, an electrical time constant of 5.2 ms, and a mechanical time constant of 1.5 ms, so current commands produce acceleration within a few milliseconds. Position feedback comes from a wiring-saving incremental encoder with a resolution of 2,000 pulses per revolution. The encoder connection reduces the amount of feedback wiring required in confined installations. The enclosure has an IP55 protection rating against dust and low-pressure water jets, while the rotor inertia of 1.161 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m² reduces the load on the servo drive during frequent reversals. Because the motor has no holding brake, vertical axes require external clamping when power is removed. The connector arrangement also supports orderly cable routing where installation space is limited.
