Product Description:
The P50B07040DCXS9 is a brushless servo motor produced by Sanyo Denki within the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. It is intended for closed-loop motion systems that require fast positioning and repeatable speed control on pick-and-place axes, indexing tables, or compact conveyors. By combining rare-earth-magnet construction with separately supplied encoder feedback, the motor converts drive current into precise mechanical torque for industrial automation tasks.
The motor has a rated output of 400 W, a rated speed of 3000 rpm, and a rated torque of 1.274 N·m for continuous operation. When accelerated beyond its rated velocity, the rotor can reach a maximum speed of 4500 rpm, providing additional capacity for rapid motion cycles. At standstill, the magnetic circuit can sustain a continuous stall torque of 1.372 N·m while drawing 3.1 Arms, and the phase resistance is 1.65 Ω. The electrical time constant is 4.0 ms, while the mechanical time constant of 1.6 ms indicates how quickly shaft speed responds to torque commands. A torque constant of 0.481 N·m/Arms relates commanded phase current to produced torque. The voltage constant of 16.8 mV/rpm supports back-electromotive-force calculations in the drive controller.
Short-duration overload capability includes a peak stall torque of 3.92 N·m and a peak stall current of 10.0 Arms, allowing the motor to accommodate brief load shocks during indexing or pressing operations. A 76 mm square flange supports installation with compatible gearboxes and mounting plates. An integral brake operating at 24 V locks the shaft when power is removed, helping prevent a stationary load from drifting. The motor has a rated power rate of 22.1 kW/s, which indicates its ability to accelerate loads under commanded torque. Its brushless design eliminates brush wear and reduces routine maintenance associated with brushed motors. The rated current is 3.0 Arms during continuous operation, subject to the motor’s applicable thermal limits.
