Product Description:
The P50B05020PCS00 is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki for the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. This standard motor converts drive commands into tightly regulated shaft motion, providing accurate positioning and speed control in conveyor sections, pick-and-place heads, and other industrial automation axes. Its brushless design reduces maintenance by eliminating mechanical commutator wear during repeated operating cycles. A 54 mm flange supports installation with comparable motor frames, while a reduced-wiring incremental encoder provides the feedback needed to close the control loop without separate sensor cabling.
During continuous operation, the actuator delivers 200 W of mechanical power at a rated speed of 3,000 rpm. At this operating point, the shaft develops 0.637 N·m of torque while drawing an armature current of 3.4 A RMS. When rapid indexing is required, the controller can command speeds up to 4,500 rpm. The torque constant is 0.218 N·m/A RMS, and the phase resistance is 0.85 Ω, which determines the voltage required from the inverter under load. A maximum stall current of 11 A RMS provides short-term overload capacity for quick acceleration while the connected controller manages motor temperature and current duration.
The integrated holding brake operates from a 24 V supply and provides 0.69 N·m of static holding torque. Its inertia is 0.245 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m² and should be included when calculating acceleration and deceleration behavior. Position feedback has a resolution of 2,000 P/R, providing detailed rotor position information for commutation and closed-loop motion control. Dynamic response is supported by a rotor inertia of 0.173 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², while the brake coil draws 0.3 A from its excitation supply. An electrical time constant of 2.8 ms supports rapid current response as the drive adjusts commanded torque. The motor assembly is 134 mm long, allowing installation in compact equipment enclosures where available axial space is limited.
