Product Description:
The P50B05020DXS4E is a brushless AC servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki within the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. The motor is intended for closed-loop positioning and speed regulation in automated machinery where compact size and rapid response are required. By combining the P5 motor platform with a permanent-magnet rotor, the unit supplies controlled torque to linear stages, pick-and-place heads, and indexing tables connected to compatible servo drives.
During continuous operation, the motor delivers a rated mechanical output of 200 W at a rated shaft speed of 3,000 rpm and a rated torque of 0.637 N·m. To sustain this operating point, the drive must supply 1.6 A RMS of phase current, and the motor has a torque constant of 0.436 N·m/A RMS. A continuous stall capability of 0.686 N·m supports the load when motion is halted and the motor remains energized, while a maximum stall torque of 1.96 N·m is available for brief overloads. The electrical time constant is 2.9 ms, allowing the current to reach a steady state rapidly, while the mechanical time constant of 0.9 ms supports quick rotor acceleration. A phase resistance of 3.4 Ω affects copper losses, and a power rate of 24.2 kW/s indicates the motor’s acceleration potential relative to its mass and inertia.
The wiring-saving incremental encoder provides a resolution of 2,000 P/R, delivering position signals while reducing the required sensor wiring. A square flange measuring 54 mm permits direct coupling to small gearboxes or machine frames, and the rotor inertia of 0.173 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m² supports responsive acceleration. With a mass of 1.07 kg, the motor imposes a limited static load on moving axes and dissipates heat through its aluminum frame. Its maximum speed reaches 4,500 rpm, providing additional velocity for rapid traverse moves beyond the rated operating speed. The brushless design reduces wear associated with mechanical commutation, and the motor is supplied without a holding brake.
