Product Description:
The P50B0501DXS2B is a brushless servo motor produced by Sanyo Denki within the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. The motor combines a permanent-magnet rotor with electronic commutation to deliver responsive torque for indexing tables, pick-and-place axes, and compact tooling. In automated cells, the device converts current from the servo amplifier into controlled rotary motion, supporting precise positioning and speed regulation in low-to-medium-power machinery.
An electric time constant of 2.5 ms allows the current to rise quickly for responsive current control. Continuous operation draws a rated current of 1.1 Arms, while peak demand can reach 3.7 Arms during acceleration. The motor has a phase resistance of 4.9 Ω and a torque constant of 0.319 N·m/Arms, providing predictable torque in relation to the applied current. Its 10.6 kW/s power rate indicates the relationship between available torque and rotor inertia during fast operating cycles. When stalled, the motor can withstand a shaft load of 0.98 N·m without losing synchronism. A square flange measuring 54 mm on each side simplifies attachment to compatible gearboxes and machine frames.
Mechanical output is transmitted through an integrated precision gearbox with a reduction ratio of 1:5. After reduction, the shaft supplies a rated output torque of 1.3 N·m at 600 rpm and can momentarily reach 3.9 N·m. On the motor side, the maximum speed is 4,500 rpm, while the nominal operating point is 3,000 rpm with 0.319 N·m of torque. Encoder feedback is provided by a 2,000 P/R incremental sensor, allowing the controller to detect position changes accurately. The motor provides a continuous mechanical output of 100 W for small conveyors, feed rollers, valve drives, and other applications that require compact brushless power. Its electronic commutation eliminates brush wear while supporting smooth rotation across repeated positioning and speed-control cycles.
