Product Description:
The P50B05010DXS9YE is a brushless AC servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki as a member of the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. Designed for compatible servo drives, the unit supplies finely regulated torque and speed to automated handling, packaging, and assembly equipment. Its brushless construction reduces maintenance requirements by eliminating brushes that would otherwise experience mechanical wear during operation. The compact 54 mm flange also allows the motor to fit within the tight mechanical spaces commonly encountered in multi-axis machines.
At its continuous rating, the motor delivers 100 W of mechanical output at a shaft speed of 3,000 rpm, producing a continuous torque of 0.319 N·m while drawing 1.1 A rms from the drive. Its torque constant is 0.319 N·m per ampere, allowing the amplifier to regulate the delivered torque through current control. The windings have a phase resistance of 4.9 Ω and an electrical time constant of 2.5 ms, helping the current loop reach its setpoint quickly. A mechanical time constant of 1.4 ms and a rotor inertia of 0.101 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m² support rapid acceleration and deceleration during positioning cycles. The motor operates within the 200 VAC voltage class used by many industrial servo systems.
For peak motion, the shaft can reach a speed of 4,500 rpm, and the motor can produce a peak stall torque of 0.98 N·m. Position feedback is provided by a wiring-saving incremental encoder that supplies 2,000 P/R to the servo drive while reducing the number of conductors required for feedback transmission. The motor does not include a holding brake, so static loads must be secured by drive-applied torque or a mechanical lock. Its sealed, fanless cast housing has an IP55 protection rating, limiting dust ingress and resisting water jets encountered on factory floors. The fanless arrangement also avoids moving cooling components and relies on heat transfer through the motor housing. CE conformity supports integration into applicable European installations when the motor is used with compatible equipment and installed according to relevant requirements.
