Product Description:
The P50B05010DXLGN servo motor is manufactured by Sanyo Denki within the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. As a brushless permanent-magnet unit, it converts electrical energy into precise mechanical motion for indexers, lightweight pick-and-place heads, and other axes that require repeatable positioning. A fully enclosed, self-cooled housing supports installation in exposed machine frames without requiring an external cooling fan. The 54 × 54 mm flange supports flange mounting and simplifies attachment to compact gearheads or driven mechanisms in automated equipment.
This model is designed for a 200 VAC drive bus and delivers a continuous mechanical output of 100 W at the shaft. During acceleration and deceleration, the rotor can reach 4500 rpm, providing a broad operating range for machinery with rapid motion cycles. The motor has an IP55 protection rating, which guards the enclosure against dust and water jets from any direction. Class F insulation permits winding temperatures up to 155 °C without damaging the insulation system. A shaft seal helps prevent lubricant from escaping and limits the entry of fine particles around the output shaft. These thermal and sealing features support operation in compact assemblies where available airflow and installation space may be limited.
Electrical isolation is supported by a withstand voltage of 1,500 VAC and an insulation resistance of 10 MΩ. These values indicate that the insulation system provides resistance to electrical leakage when moisture or residue is present. The motor has no holding brake, so static load retention must be provided by drive-applied torque or an external locking device when the axis is stopped. A vibration rating of V15 indicates the motor’s resistance to transmitted vibration during operation. The motor is designed for continuous duty, while its permanent-magnet excitation provides brushless operation without the wear associated with mechanical commutation. Its sealed shaft interface also helps protect the bearing area when the motor operates near lubricated gear reducers or other machinery components.
