Product Description:
The P50B05005PXB75M is a brushless servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki for the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. Integrated electronic commutation enables accurate torque and speed control in compact automation axes such as pick-and-place heads and small indexing tables. The 50 W class unit uses the P5 electromagnetic platform and permanent-magnet rotor technology, eliminating the brushes that require periodic service in conventional motors. Compliance with CE and UL requirements supports installation in regions that follow European or North American safety codes.
The motor provides a rated mechanical output of 50 W at a nominal shaft speed of 3,000 rpm, producing a continuous torque of 0.159 N·m. To reach this operating point, the drive must supply a phase current of 1.6 A RMS. A torque constant of 0.136 N·m/A RMS provides a proportional relationship between current and torque within the normal operating range. The phase resistance is 2.6 Ω, which helps limit current through the windings. A mechanical time constant of 2.4 ms and a rated power rate of 4.4 kW/s support rapid acceleration when the motor is paired with a compatible servo drive. The rotor-load system has a reflected inertia of 0.63 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m², making the motor suitable for controlling light moving components.
The rotor can reach a maximum speed of 4,500 rpm. At zero speed, it can withstand a stall torque of 0.49 N·m when the controller permits a maximum phase current of 5.0 A RMS. The motor has an IP55 enclosure, which protects internal components against dust and low-pressure water jets. A square flange measuring 54 mm supports installation in compact machine assemblies, while an electrical time constant of 2.2 ms supports coordination with the drive’s control bandwidth. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so an external load-holding device is required when a vertical axis must remain stationary without motor torque.
