Product Description:
The P50B03003DXL61 is a compact AC servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki within the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. Designed for closed-loop motion axes in pick-and-place heads, semiconductor handlers, and miniature actuators, the unit combines brushless excitation with an internal Hall sensor resolver to deliver repeatable torque while minimizing maintenance. It operates from a 200 VAC drive bus, has a 35 mm square mounting flange, and transfers power through a 5 mm keyed shaft, providing a compact drive element for space-constrained machinery.
At its rated operating point, the motor supplies 30 W of mechanical power while drawing 0.5 A RMS from the drive. It produces a continuous rated torque of 0.098 N·m at 3,000 rpm. The copper windings have a line-to-line resistance of 20.5 Ω, which affects amplifier voltage margin and thermal rise during steady loads. A continuous stall torque of 0.108 N·m is available when the shaft is locked, while the higher peak stall torque supports brief acceleration demands. Current buildup inside the stator follows a 0.7 ms electrical time constant, and rotor speed response follows a 2.1 ms mechanical time constant. The power rate of 6.5 kW/s indicates how rapidly the axis can change velocity while remaining within controller limits.
For short bursts, the rotor can reach 4,500 rpm and deliver 0.323 N·m of instantaneous torque, accommodating indexing moves beyond nominal load points. The torque constant is 0.206 N·m/A RMS, allowing position loops to translate commanded current directly into force estimates. The housing has an ingress protection rating of IP40, making it suitable for clean cabinets where basic protection from solid objects is sufficient. The motor is supplied without a holding brake, so stationary loads must be secured by drive torque or an external clamp during shutdown.
