Product Description:
The P50B03003DCL60 is a compact servo motor manufactured by Sanyo Denki within the P5 Super BL Servo Motors series. Using brushless technology, it supplies smooth torque without commutator wear. The unit is fitted with a holding brake that operates at 24 V, allowing the shaft to remain stationary when holding force is required. This combination supports precise positioning and speed control in automated pick-and-place stations, miniature indexing tables, and electronics assembly tools, while the small frame eases installation in confined machinery.
At its continuous rating, the motor delivers 30 W of mechanical output while turning at a nominal speed of 3000 rpm. That power corresponds to a steady shaft torque of 0.098 N·m, generated with 0.5 Arms of armature current and a phase resistance of 20.5 Ω. A compact flange measuring 35 mm on each side provides the mounting interface and supports integration with micro gearheads. Dynamic response is aided by a 0.7 ms electrical time constant and a 2.1 ms mechanical time constant, so commanded currents produce speed changes with minimal lag. The continuous stall values are 0.53 Arms and 0.108 N·m, indicating the load the rotor can hold without overheating. A torque constant of 0.206 N·m/Arms gives the drive controller a predictable current-to-torque relationship.
Short-term overload capability is higher than the continuous values. The rotor can accelerate to a maximum speed of 4500 rpm and withstand a peak stall torque of 0.323 N·m when the drive supplies up to 1.8 Arms. These limits permit rapid indexing or quick deceleration without damaging the windings. The IP40 enclosure protects the motor against solid objects larger than 1 mm, but it does not provide protection against water. A 5 mm shaft diameter accommodates small couplings while helping to keep rotational inertia low. The holding brake can secure light loads at standstill, while the low inertia supports responsive motion during repeated positioning cycles.
