Product Description:
The MC1K-U015V is a low-cost indexing motion control manufactured by Sanyo Denki with Toyoda under the K-motion controller series. As a simple yet flexible indexing motion controller, this device can reliably control servo or stepper motors along a fixed axis. Particularly, it can support servomotors with a power range of 15,000 to 50 watts. During operation, the MC1K-U015V can serve not only as a controller but also as a power source and an amplifier for the servo motor. With this multi-function support, the MC1K-U015V saves space and money. Like all other motion controllers, the MC1K-U015V is perfect for cabinet or rack mounting.
To control the servo motor, the MC1K-U015V can be connected to an industrial PC, a PLC, or a console. To connect to the PLC, a PLC link or HPC link connection can be used. With the PLC link, transfer speeds of 19.2 to 57.6 kbps are supported. On the other hand, with the HPC link, transfer speeds of up to 625 kbps are supported. At most, the PLC communication protocol can support a maximum cable distance of 1 kilometer, whereas the HPC link can only support a half kilometer of cable distance. Similar to other MC1K-V controllers, the MC1K-U015V requires a three-phase power supply with a nominal terminal voltage of 200 to 230 V.
The MC1K-U015V comes with an absolute encoder with a resolution of 8,192 pulses per rotation. This module also employs built-in functions such as DB resistance and regenerative resistance. These resistors can absorb excess braking energy and regenerative energy when a motor decelerates, respectively. The MC1K-U015V supports a variety of indexing points during operation, depending on the industrial system and application.
