Product Description:

The R05C432562 Absolute Encoder is made by Sanyo Denki. It relies on optical technology that does not use batteries to measure its absolute position accurately. It normally has 17 bits of resolution, with 131072 divisions. It also has a 20-bit version with 1048576 divisions. The power supply for this sensor is +5 V DC with ±0.25 V tolerance.

A R05C432562 encoder consumes up to 300 mA of power. The interface of the AH26LS40 is equivalent to a serial absolute output of the AM26LS31 type. Differential output signals help industrial devices resist noise. The interface supports high-speed transfer of data at 100 Mbps. To provide stable signals in the system, electrical isolation must have a resistance of at least 50 MΩ at 250 VDC. The encoder is rated IP65 as standard, but offers the choice of an additional rating of IP67. This only covers the areas between the cable and shaft ends. The R05C432562 encoder can function within a temperature range of 0°C to +85°C. It takes 0.007 × 10⁻⁴ kg·m² to rotate the encoder. By doing this, it is possible to use Oldham Coupling for a simple replacement. The encoder can be stored at a temperature between -20°C and +85°C. Without condensation, the humidity tolerance is from 20% to 90% RH.

The design of R05C432562 encoder complies with IEC61800-5-2 standards. It offers Safe Torque Off (STO) technology to ensure safe operation of the machine. It is in full compliance with IEC60204-1 Stop Category 0 and is certified with SIL2 and PL=d safety levels, based on requirements from IEC61508 and ISO13849-1. This connection is made with 26 AWG shielded wires, used in 2 or 3 pairs. It can handle an impact of up to 490 m/s² for 11 milliseconds and shakes of up to 49 m/s² at frequencies from 10 Hz to 55 Hz.
