Product Description:
A high-accuracy absolute encoder for precise measurement and control in a range of industrial applications is the NRC-3 model from Sanyo Denki.
The device is designed only for air use and runs effectively within the pressure range of 0 to 150 PSI or 0 to 9 bar. It can tolerate a temperature range of 32°F to 140°F and therefore can be used in multiple environmental conditions. The NRC-3 is recommended to use polyurethane and nylon, both of which are known for their durability and flexibility. NPT and unified threads as connection options ensure versatility in installation into different systems. Its rotary joint with built-in precision bearings is a notable structural feature that enables it to have a high degree of reliability and performance for rotary applications. Depending upon the form of data transmission you prefer for the data, the NRC-3 has two types of output: incremental, such as A, B, and Z channels, as well as absolute form with SSI and CANopen interfaces. The resolution is an absolute maximum of up to 16 bits in the absolute mode, with the readings being extremely precise and detailed.
The encoder can operate at high speeds up to 6,000 maximum shaft speed. It is one of the most robust encoders available with an ingress protection rating of IP67, which means it’s dust-tight and water-resistant, perfect for tough industrial environments. It is designed for installation with shaft direct coupling and flange mount mantle mounting for secure and effortless installation. It can reliably withstand the mechanical stresses of up to 50 m/s² (5G) vibrations and 500 m/s² (50G) shocks and can operate within 0–90% RH (non-condensing). Anodized aluminum alloy is used to make the housing, which is strong and corrosion resistant.
