It interfaces between a CNC, PLC, or standalone motion controller and a two-phase stepping motor, translating timed pulse trains into phased currents that advance the rotor by fixed increments. By combining compact packaging with open-loop positioning, the unit is installed in pick-and-place arms, light conveyors, and semiconductor indexing tables where moderate torque and precise incremental positioning are required.
In operation, the drive accepts pulses as narrow as 2 µs and enforces a minimum command interval of 50 µs, enabling high-speed sequencing without data overrun. The internal divider assigns a 0.72° basic step and can refine each step into as many as 250 microsteps for reduced vibration and finer resolution.
