Product Description:

Sanyo Denki’s RBD2CT201 is a Robustsyn motor amplifier designed for low-capacity applications. While not exactly the most high-performing servomotor by Sanyo Denki, the RBD2CT201 offers an economical alternative for small-size and simple applications or systems. Particularly, the RBD2CT201 can thrive for applications and uses such as mounting devices, laboratory equipment, and bonders. Most, if not all, of Robustsyn drives can monitor servomotors with a maximum rotating speed of 4500 rpm. It can also control motors with a capacity range of 20 to 750 watts. Depending on the type of system, Robustsyn amplifiers such as the RBD2CT201 can work with a DC or AC power input. Some products from the Robustsyn product line need 24 or 38 VDC, while others need around 100 VAC or 200 VAC.

Similar to Sanyo Denki’s standard drives, the RBD2CT201 offers several connection ports for the power supply, motor power cables, motor encoder, industrial PC, and main controller. Without built-in controller features, the RBD2CT201 relies on an external host device to issue commands and signals that will drive the motor. This servo amplifier serves as the intermediary between the servomotor and the main controller. The RBD2CT201 can monitor the servomotor through the data signals sent by the motor encoder.

The RBD2CT201, specifically, supports the following power input types: 5VDC and 38VDC. Depending on the power input selected, the amplifier current will vary. At 5 VDC power input, the drive draws a rated current of 0.25 A. On the other hand, with a 38 VDC power input, the drive draws a rated current of 2 A. The RBD2CT201 does not employ an external fan or large heatsink for heat dissipation. Wake Industrial provides a one-year warranty upon purchase of this Robustsyn drive.
