The RBB2C-402 is an extremely robust servo amplifier designed by Sanyo Denki for industrial applications. This amplifier is designed according to the IP20 protection class; it has a compact and strong housing unit with a chemically resistant varnish. The amplifier housing is also designed for wall mounting into a control cabinet, which can shield it from foreign interference like dust and water penetration. This amplifier also features an extremely efficient air blower that gets rid of hot air from its housing and allows it to maintain a permissible temperature range during its operation. During the installation of the amplifier, operators are required to allow sufficient clearance above and below the amplifier for easy ventilation. There are two electrical connectors on the front panel of this product; these connectors can handle high communication speeds, allowing quick communication between the amplifier and other parts of the servo system.
The RBB2C-402 can generate a leakage current as high as 3.5 milliamperes; this current level can cause electric shocks if the amplifier is not properly connected to a reliable earth connection. The electrical connection interfaces in front of this amplifier are color-coded to ensure guide operators during the wiring process. The cables recommended for the wiring of this product are special accessories that require separate orders from operators.
The RBB2C-402 is designed to be operated at an ambient temperature that falls between 0 to 45 degrees; relative humidity around the amplifier should be monitored and maintained between 5 to about 95 per cent. It is possible to store this amplifier for future use; however, storage temperature should not be more than 70 degrees Celsius. Monitoring of the power, alarm and connection status of the RBB2C-402 can be done through LED indicators in front of this product.
