The Sanyo Denki’s 60BA050SXW02 is an industrial-grade servo amplifier from the BL super servo amplifiers series. The 60BA05 super servo amplifier provides a continuous power output of 0.5 kW at rated conditions and its protection features include overcurrent, overtemperature and short-circuit safeguards.
The output current capacity of the 60BA050SXW02 servo amplifier reaches 30 A. The vector control system of the device depends on the integrated microcontroller system and the NEC microprocessor controls real-time feedback along with motor operations using the encoder input for closed-loop motor application. The 60BA05 servo amplifier has RS-485 Modbus RTU protocol for communication interfaces. It supports analog ±10 V command and digital I/O. The 60BA05 servo amplifier has an onboard EPROM labeled RFS-2119 for storing firmware and control logic. MOSFET transistors form the internal 3-phase inverter stage and gate driving circuitry manages switching control of the power stage while the TTL logic ICs handle signal routing and internal state transitions. The servo amplifier’s power relays are integrated for motor output enable and isolation. It achieves filtering by using high-voltage electrolytic capacitors and inductors. A DIP switch array allows node addressing and mode selection. Control and feedback wiring passes through the connectors CNX1 and CNX2 which are located in 60BA05 servo amplifier while terminal block P22 connects the AC line input and motor phase output.
Under standard operating conditions the 60BA050SXW02 servo amplifier works with an input voltage of 200 to 240 VAC while having an operating range from -10°C to +50°C. A natural air convection process is responsible for its cooling operation. The device supports worldwide operation whether an AC system runs at 50 Hz or 60 Hz. This servo amplifier lets users install it on either DIN rail or directly on a panel. It is used in CNC, robotics and automated material handling equipment.
