The 68AA050FXR00 is an all-in-one servo amplifier featuring an elaborate front panel. Like all other servo drives manufactured and released by Sanyo Denki under the BL super series, the 68AA050FXR00 contains a robust set of peripheral ports for communicating with other devices and establishing connection with the servomotor. Specifically, this module comes with two terminal blocks, which serve different functions. The first terminal block, TB1, is where the motor power cables should be connected. The second terminal block, TB2, contains the r and t terminals, which must be connected to the input power supply. For most of Sanyo Denki’s BL servo amplifiers, the control input voltage is 200 VAC.
Aside from its exclusive terminal blocks, the 68AA050FXR00 also has dedicated connection ports for establishing communication with a host device or a controlling unit such as an industrial PC. The CN2 port is typically connected to the encoder of the servomotor. Hence, to connect the motor properly, the appropriate power cables must be connected to the corresponding pins in the terminal block, and the motor encoder must be connected to the CN2 port. The 68AA050FXR00, like other servo amplifiers by Sanyo Denki, can operate at a maximum ambient temperature of 55 degrees Celsius.
In a typical servo system, the 68AA050FXR00 can be connected to other protective devices such as a circuit breaker or fuse. A noise filter can also be integrated as part of the system, particularly in between the main power supply and the unit’s terminal block.
