Pacific Scientific builds the SN41HLYY-LNK-NS-01 as part of its Powersync Synchronous Motors series. The unit is a constant-speed synchronous motor intended for low-speed material handling, positioning tables, and other automation duties that call for stable rotation without electronic feedback. A square 4.325-inch housing allows direct installation into machinery, while the heavy-duty NEMA mounting flange carries radial and axial loads from pulleys or couplings.

The motor connects to single-phase utility power at 120 V AC, and its windings are tuned for the standard North American supply of 60 Hz. Under this excitation, the laminated rotor locks to the stator field and delivers a synchronous shaft speed of 72 RPM, eliminating the need for external speed regulation. A generous frame envelope of NEMA 42 provides room for the single-stack rotor and supports the straight-key shaft while keeping overall length moderate. There is no encoder or resolver, so system feedback must be handled at the load or controller level. The single-shaft construction provides one output end only, which simplifies coupling alignment. Housing dimensions of 4.325 inches square allow the motor to fit standard NEMA 42 brackets without spacers.

Cable routing is simplified by a conduit entry cut with 1/2" NPS pipe thread that mates with flexible metallic conduit. Electrical terminations land on a splashproof terminal board secured behind the conduit connector, and this arrangement helps shield live parts from washdown spray. A laminated rotor limits eddy-current loss and helps control temperature rise within the 1-stack core. For environments containing moisture or dust, a shaft seal blocks ingress along the straight-key output. Three pre-tinned leads emerge from the stator so field wiring follows a simple 3 leads scheme. This layout keeps the connection points easy to organize during installation.
