The Kollmorgen Corporation is globally known as an innovative and reliable manufacturer of servo system applications, and detailed, highly-effective related components. The servo system applications are assembled with three primary components, such as a feedback device, a servo drive and a servo motor, among others. This specific part is a Kollmorgen PMB33F-20214-02 brushless servo motor with remarkable performance characteristics. Integrated neodymium-iron-boron magnets facilitate high torque density, otherwise this motor covers a continuous torque in range between 1,62 and 4,84 Nm and peak torque 16,1 Nm. Inertia for a motor with a resolver as a feedback device is 0,404 kgm²x10⁻³. Resolver here is a frameless, transmitter type, and operates at a frequency of 4,3 Hz. The shaft (shaft is type Square Key) position is indicated by a digital encoder with commutation of 2048 PPR.

The PMB33F-20214-02 is an 8-pole synchronous servo motor with Nema 34 frame and operates on maximum bus power 240 V ac, 320 V dc. The compact motor is well suited for speed and position control applications requiring high acceleration and torque. The most common, but easily preventable, cause of startup problems is cabling, and for that reason Kollmorgen practices factory cabling.
