The PMB33C-00116-03 brushless servo motor is a unique device produced by Pacific Scientific to meet the needs of customers that require higher performance motors for use in higher volume applications. This motor introduces the IP40 construction design in the servo system; it has a relatively compact size and supports mounting in any orientation. The relatively low protection standard of this product compared to conventional motor units makes it more vulnerable to external interference; however, when it is properly installed, it will maintain high performance standards through its long service life. Compared to conventional motors, this unit has a low cost of ownership as it rarely breaks down and does not require frequent repairs. There is no external air blower attached to this motor; heat is generally dissipated by natural convection and radiation directly from its housing surface. To prevent overheating, customers are required to maintain an ambient temperature that is below 45 degrees around this unit.

The PMB33C-00116-03 controller is a permanent magnet excited device; the magnets used in this product are a Neodymium-iron-boron, which is renowned for its ability to produce a high motor torque while maintaining a low inertial level in industrial motor designs.
