Product Description:
PMB31D-20201-03 is an IP40 rated servo motor. It is produced by Pacific Scientific. The motor uses iron-boron magnets to produce high-density output torque. Double-shielded bearings enable reliable long-term operation. NEMA mounting allows easy motor installation. Multiple feedback options for PMB motors include resolvers, encoders, and Hall sensors. Connection options include flying leads with SMB or amp connectors. Smaller motors are available with 48 Volts DC input rating. Motors with higher torque output are available with 240 Volts AC input and 320 Volts DC bus voltage. PMB motors feature a brushless design that is essentially maintenance-free and is safer to use compared to brushed motors. PMB motors utilize self-cooling for heat dissipation. This is a more economical cooling method compared to liquid or forced-air cooling. PMB31D-20201-03 is a motor with 240 Volts AC input power supply. It can be used with drives from the SC9x3 or PC8x4 series.
The nominal speed is 5000 RPM with a PCx4 servo drive and 6000 RPM with a SC9x3 servo drive. The peak stall torque is 6.2 Nm with a PCx4 servo drive and 4.3 Nm with a SC9x3 servo drive. The current at peak torque is 15.3 Amps with a PCx4 servo drive and 10.6 Amps with a SC9x3 servo drive. Other motor specifications, including no-load speed of 8400 RPM, continuous stall torque of 2.1 Nm, and continuous stall current of 5.1 Amps are same for both types of servo drives. The NEMA size of the PMB31D-20201-03 motor is 34. Features of the motor include shaft with square key, MS connectors for power and feedback on flying leads, and Hall sensor based feedback. Customization options include a shaft seal and a PTC thermistor.
