Product Description:
The PMB31D-00114-02 is a cost-effective brushless servomotor from Pacific Scientific in its B Series of motors. The synchronous motor is compatible with PC8x4, SC903 and PC3406 servo drives. The brushless unit is housed in a frame size of NEMA 34 with an IP40 construction style and exposed-lam design. The unit operates at a maximum bus voltage of 240VAC or 320VDC at an ambient temperature of 25°C. It is recommended to mount the motor using four #6 socket lead cap screws or fillister lead cap screws.
The eight-pole synchronous motor has a D type winding with a nominal stall current of 5.4A and multiple stack length. The unit features 18” flying leads with AMP type Mate-N-Lock connectors and a flat shaft. It supports connectivity with compatible servo drives using shielded 18 AWG and shielded 26 AWG feedback and power cables respectively. The motor encompasses a digital encoder with 2048ppr and commutation as its sensor. The neodymium-iron-boron magnets in the motor generate the maximum torque possible. The motor offers enhanced application flexibility by proving to be the right choice for requirements that demand high acceleration and torque. It has an inertia of 0.137kgm2 x 10-3.
The motor consists of double shielded bearings and Class F winding insulation. The brushless device has a typical rated speed of 6,000RPM and a typical rated torque of 1.6Nm. The unit has a constant torque of 0.41Nm/A and15.3A current rating at a peak torque of 6.26Nm. The synchronous motor features a line-to-line resistance of 2.3 Ohms and a line-to-line inductance of 5.2mH. The motor 5.28 inches black colored motor is compact and lightweight with a weight of just 2.5kg. It has a thermal time constant of 28 minutes, maximum static friction of 0.09Nm and a viscose damping coefficient of 0.0124Nm/kRPM. The motor is a great choice for position control and speed applications.
