Product Description:

The PMB31B-20114-01 is an internationally trusted motor that belongs to the PMB brushless motor series designed by Pacific Scientific. This servo motor series was first released over 20 years ago. It is a perfect combination of technological sophistication and industrial experience. The use of this servo motor is particularly suited for applications where a high torque to inertial ratio is of great priority. All parts of this servo motor unit have been tested and authorized to meet international standards. The motor also carries certification markings that prove its quality. The housing unit of this servo motor provides little degree of protection against liquid penetration; however, it shields the motor from large foreign solids. During and after the installation of this motor, it should be regularly monitored and protected from unfavorable environmental conditions.

The PMB31B-20114-01 is a self-cooled product that only requires a favorable ambient temperature that is between 0 to 45 degrees for its optimum operation. The heat produced in the motor unit is directly transferred to the environment through natural processes of convection and radiation. A digital encoder feedback with commutation is integrated into this motor; this feedback operates at a resolution as high as 2048 parts per revolution. The connectors used to integrate power and feedback cables into the housing of this motor are AMP connectors with flying leads. Customers are not supplied with connection cables during the delivery of this product; these cables are optional accessories that can be ordered separately.

The PMB31B-20114-01 motor design requires only 2.66 amperes of current to reach an operation speed of 2900 revolutions per minute. The maximum input current that can be supplied to this motor is estimated to be about 2.66 amperes.
