Pacific Scientific boasts a wide range of products, which include the 2VM series. This series of Low Inertia Motors is one of this company’s most highly acclaimed products, being manufactured through state of the art technologies and passed through tough testing routines.

Low inertia motors have the quality of being very responsive to speed and torque changes, making the 2VM series ideal for applications like CNC centers. They are purposefully made to have minimal rotational inertia to minimize the resistance their rotating elements offer to motion.

2VM62-000-3 is a low inertia motor from this amazing series, offering high torque with excellent control ability. The winding supports a continuous rated current in the range of 3.1-5.7 A and similarly a rated voltage in the range of 18-36 V, allowing it to adjust into any normal electrical grid.

This motor is constructed with durability and ruggedness in mind. Owing to this, it features an Alnico-V7 magnet which provides its system with a strong magnetic field.

For position detection, this motor comes incorporated with an analogue tachometer. This device collects information regarding the rotor’s speed by recording the time it takes to complete each revolution. This data is then relayed to the motor control drive which then uses it to achieve the desired motion.
