The K42HLLN-LNK-NS-01 is a heavy duty stepper motor with a NEMA frame size of 42. This motor is manufactured by Pacific Scientific and is one of their more powerful options thanks to the use of POWERPAC technology. This step motor is from the manufacturer’s basic Sigmax series and features 2 rotor stacks. The unit is constructed with splash-proof construction and utilizes a ½ NPSC pipe thread conduit connector to the terminal board. It utilizes a straight key shaft with a single configuration and is simply the standard motor with a shaft seal and no feedback encoder option. The rotor is laminated with 4 lead series winding leads of a standard winding type.
The K42HLLN-LNK-NS01 can provide holding torques up to 5700 oz-in. it is made with magnetics that has been optimized so that they can provide the highest torque performance from a small unit. This helps to reduce space while improving torque linearity. The unit can provide acceleration boosts that can help with moving loads a lot faster. It provides a cost-effective alternative motor to that of a servo motor and provides high torque at moderate speeds and for intermittent duty applications.
