The K42HLLM-LNK-NS-00 is a stepper motor manufactured by Pacific Scientific as part of the K PowerPac Motors series. It is intended for heavy-duty NEMA installations where discrete step control must be translated into repeatable motion for automated feeders, gantries, or indexing tables. By combining a laminated rotor with a two-stack magnetic core, the motor delivers incremental positioning as a straightforward actuator for open-loop motion sequences.
The square 4.325-inch frame follows the NEMA 42 envelope, and the active stack depth measures 150 mm. A holding torque of 28.2 Nm supports static load retention when the windings are energized in full-step or microstep modes. Each command pulse turns the shaft through a precise 1.8° step, and total positional deviation is limited to ±1.5% over a full revolution. A single shaft with a straight key simplifies rigid coupling, while the standard winding uses a four-lead series connection to accommodate common bipolar drive arrangements. The lack of an encoder corresponds to the “No Feedback Option” designation for systems that monitor position externally.
The motor can operate continuously from -20 °C to +40 °C. The coil has an insulation resistance of at least 100 megohms when tested at 500 V, and its working voltage is 340 VDC. Wiring enters through a 1/2 in. NPSC conduit thread, and the splash-resistant connection routes conductors to an internal terminal board. The enhanced SIGMAX construction uses a magnetic path that minimizes iron losses. A heavy-duty NEMA foot pattern secures the housing, while the design is supplied without a shaft seal for installations that do not require sealed shaft entry. The splash-resistant wiring connection offers added protection in moderately damp or dusty production areas without changing the motor’s open-loop control arrangement.
