The K/N series stepper Motor is a high torque low speed machine, with the added advantage of being super compact. The motor completes one full rotation in 200 steps, with each individual step consisting of a 1.8 Degree rotation, making it ideal for use in precise instruments such as robots and telescopes. The K/N series stepper motor has higher torque and acceleration rated due to the addition of the patented SIGMAX technology, a feature that only Kollmorgen provides. The motors are available in 2 & 4 phases, and have a insulation class B, which can bear temperatures up to 130oC.

The Kollmorgen K32HRLG-LNK-NS-00 Stepper Motor is one of the many motors under the K series, with an enhanced 2 stack design and a holding torque of 11.1 Nm. It operates with a rated current of 1.91 Amp DC. The shaft has been designed in order to cater for high operational loads, with a max radial force of 289 N and max axial force of 1360 N. The stepper motor has a thermal resistance of 2oC/Watt and an operating temperature range between -20oC and 40oC, thus making it the most viable option for operations with extreme temperatures without having to lose excessive efficiency.
