Pacific Scientific manufactures the K32HRFJ-LNK-NS-00 for its K PowerPac Motors series. This NEMA 34 stepper motor delivers incremental positioning for index tables, pick-and-place axes, and other automated loads. SIGMAX-enhanced construction raises flux density, and the laminated rotor limits eddy-current losses during rapid starts. Standard windings and a heavy-duty NEMA flange mount simplify retrofitting on legacy drives, while the regular lead-wire interface with an eight-lead bundle supports multiple wiring schemes. With no encoder installed, the motor is used in open-loop systems where the pulse count determines the position.
The square housing measures 3.38 in. on each side, matching typical gearboxes and couplings. Each full step equals a 1.8° rotation, so 200 command pulses complete one revolution. When both stator phases are energized, the motor delivers a holding torque of 10.8 Nm, which is sufficient to keep moderate-inertia loads stationary without external brakes. The windings have a dielectric withstand rating of 340 VDC, and the insulation resistance is 100 megohms to limit leakage in humid environments. Operation is permitted from -20 °C to +40 °C; within this range, the temperature rise remains within Class B limits. The SIGMAX magnetic circuit maintains torque across the permitted temperature range.
Position repeatability remains within a step accuracy of ±1.5%, making the motor suitable for light machining or electronic assembly fixtures. The rotor and shaft form a single-piece continuous element with a straight-key output. No shaft seal is fitted, so the application must provide external protection if splashing fluids are present. The axial length is only 133 mm, achieved by stacking two active lamination groups. This compact two-stack design keeps inertia low while increasing torque. Regular lead wires exit the frame through a potted gland, and the heavy-duty NEMA mounting face provides rigid attachment to steel or aluminum machine frames.
