Product Description:
The Pacific Scientific K32HCHJ-LNK-NS-01 is a hybrid stepper motor in the K PowerPac Motors series. As a positioning element in industrial automation, it converts digital pulse commands from an indexer or drive into discrete angular moves so conveyors, index tables, or metering pumps reach repeatable stop points without closed-loop feedback. It is supplied as a packaged motor for heavy-duty machine mounting where compact torque density and a straightforward installation footprint are required.
A square 3.38 in. frame and a NEMA 34 flange outline establish mechanical interchangeability with common motor brackets. Inside that envelope, a two-stack rotor and a 10.8 Nm holding torque rating allow static load retention without an external brake. Each full step equals 1.8°, and cumulative positioning deviation stays within ±1.5%, providing predictable indexing for packaging or labeling axes. Electrical termination uses a 4-lead parallel winding, which keeps phase current manageable and remains compatible with standard microstep drives. The laminated rotor limits eddy-current loss, a single shaft with a straight key passes torque into couplings, and the MS connector supports straightforward wiring. With the no-feedback option selected, the drive counts commanded steps instead of reading an encoder, which simplifies cabling.
Enhanced SIGMAX construction increases flux density in the stator teeth, helping the motor maintain output through its operating range. Continuous service is permitted from -20 °C to +40 °C. Electrical integrity is supported by a 340 Vdc insulation voltage rating and a minimum of 100 Megohms of resistance between the windings and frame. The motor measures 133 mm in length and includes a shaft seal that helps deter dust or coolant ingress at the keyed shaft. It supports open-loop motion in pick-and-place gantries, compact press feeds, and similar indexing applications.
