Product Description:
The K31HRLG-LNK-NS-00 is a stepper motor manufactured by Pacific Scientific for the K PowerPac Motors series. It transforms sequential drive pulses into controlled shaft movement, allowing machinery to index loads without closed-loop feedback. The model is suitable for feeders, small gantries, and metering pumps that require repeatable incremental motion. Its frame geometry supports direct mounting to compatible gearheads or brackets in industrial automation cells, while the keyed shaft provides positive engagement with the connected load.
The motor occupies a NEMA 34 frame that measures 3.38 inches square, and it attaches through a heavy-duty NEMA face for rigid installation. SIGMAX enhanced construction and a laminated rotor concentrate magnetic flux, allowing the motor to produce a holding torque of 5.9 Nm at rest. Each electrical step advances the rotor by 1.8°, and cumulative positioning error is limited to ±1.5%. The single-section stack results in an overall body length of 94 mm. Standard windings support full-step and half-step drive modes, giving the connected drive flexibility when balancing positioning resolution and available torque. The motor has no encoder or other feedback device, and its single shaft includes a straight key for secure mechanical coupling.
Four conductors provide a four-lead series connection that carries phase current from an external stepper drive. The regular lead wires pass through a reinforced grommet, which supports straightforward routing while protecting the conductors at the motor housing. The insulation withstands up to 340 Vdc and provides an insulation resistance of 100 MΩ, helping limit electrical leakage in humid operating areas. The permitted operating temperature ranges from -20 °C to +40 °C. Because the shaft does not include a seal, the mounting area must remain free of oil spray and other liquids that could enter around the shaft opening. The standard winding balances inductance with torque response, while the laminated rotor helps keep detent torque low during incremental movement. Thermal loading must remain within the permitted temperature range during continuous or repetitive operation.
