Product Description:

The F Series of servo motors are among the most common motors in the motion control industry. These motors are manufactured by Pacific Scientific but are now owned by Kollmorgen. With special high inertia rotors, the F Series is designed to meet the highest performance standards. The F46GCNA-R2-NS-NV-00 has a number of technical specifications that make it an industry or market favorite. It comes with a Ferrite magnet type, winding of G along with a Standard sequence number. The servo motor also has a NEMA face shaft and mounting along with a size 21 transmitter type frameless resolver for primary feedback.

There are various optional features not included in the F46GCNA-R2-NS-NV-00, including the holding brake, shaft sealing, and secondary feedback. F Series servo motors are designed to drive machinery, meaning that they must function as part of a controlled system. Kollmorgen recommends the F46GCNA-R2-NS-NV-00 to be used in normal industrial environments without exposure to irregular ambient temperatures or too much/ corrosive moisture. The F Series motors come with the IP65 rating when attached with environmentally-wrapped MS cable assemblies or after installing an optional shaft seal. The IP65 rating guarantees protection against the entrance of dust or water.

The rating is applicable for any servo motor mounting orientation but mounting the servo motor is advised to project down the connectors. There are a number of installation guidelines that need to be observed when installing the F46GCNA-R2-NS-NV-00. The motor should be well-mounted all data and power cables should be attached after mounting. The connectors need to point downwards, and a drip loop should be used in the cable to ensure liquids flow away. The maximum case temperature must be around 100°C for servo motors operating at constant rating in an ambient temperature of 40°C.
