Product Description:
The F45GENA-R2-NS-NV-00 is a brushless servo motor produced by Pacific Scientific within the F Servomotors series. It is used in machine tools, material-handling axes, and automated assembly stations to convert drive commands into controlled rotary motion. By supplying predictable torque across a wide speed range, the motor helps the associated drive amplifier maintain position accuracy in repetitive industrial cycles. Its standardized shaft and mounting dimensions support installation in equipment sized for the same frame.
Under nominal conditions, the motor can deliver 46 lb-in of continuous stall torque, allowing it to hold loads without excessive heating when the shaft is motionless. During acceleration, the electromagnetic design supports a peak torque of 117 lb-in, giving the control loop additional headroom for rapid indexing. The torque constant is 8.1 lb-in/A, so each ampere of phase current produces a proportional torque increase. With a back-EMF value of 96 V/Krpm, the drive must supply matching voltage at higher speeds to overcome generated countervoltage. The frame width measures 4.25 inches, which sets the mounting width for panel or gearbox installation. An IP65 rating protects the windings from dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, allowing installation outside sealed cabinets.
The motor weighs 22.0 lb, which adds mass without making the unit overly bulky. The rotor uses Ferrite magnets, which provide stable magnetic flux during normal operation. The motor has no secondary feedback, so any high-resolution position data must come from an external encoder when required. It also uses a magnet stack length code of 5, an English shaft and bolt pattern, and a standard configuration with no shaft seal and no holding brake. This configuration suits guarded environments where load holding is handled by the drive rather than by an integral brake.
