The F45GCNA-R2-NS-NV-00 is a brushless motor built by Pacific Scientific for the F Servomotors series. In industrial automation, the unit converts controlled current from a servo drive into regulated rotary motion for positioning tables, pick-and-place heads, or packaging actuators. As a brushless motor, switching occurs in the drive electronics rather than at mechanical contacts. This arrangement supports repeatable speed and position control when paired with a compatible servo amplifier. The motor uses the standard mechanical configuration for this series.

At stall, the rotor can deliver a continuous torque of 46 lb-in, allowing the axis to hold static loads without exceeding temperature limits. During acceleration, it can briefly reach 117 lb-in to help overcome system inertia. Torque rises in proportion to phase current, and the motor has a torque constant of 8.1 lb-in./A. This current-to-torque relationship helps the drive regulate output during load changes. The back EMF constant is 96 V/Krpm, so the drive must provide adequate DC-bus voltage as speed increases. The magnet stack uses five laminations, and because no holding brake is fitted, external holding must be provided when power is removed.

The housing carries an IP65 rating, which helps keep dust and low-pressure water jets away from energized parts. The shaft is supplied without a shaft seal, reducing friction at the output end. Front dimensions follow the NEMA face interface, allowing direct mounting to gear reducers or machine frames without adapter plates. Magnetic excitation comes from ferrite poles, which provide stable flux over typical operating temperatures. Feedback is limited to the primary resolver channel, so no secondary feedback path is included.
