Product Description:
The F45FENA-R2-NS-VS-00 brushless servo motor is manufactured by Pacific Scientific as part of the F Servomotors series. Designed for closed-loop motion modules in packaging equipment, pick-and-place systems, and test stands, it converts commanded current into controlled torque and speed for high-cycle automation. Its brushless electromagnetic design eliminates brush wear and supports continuous operation in industrial cells that depend on accurate rotary positioning to synchronize conveyors, index tables, and linear actuators.
The motor sustains a continuous stall output of 46 lb-in, which allows it to hold static loads without an external brake, and it can momentarily reach 117 lb-in during acceleration bursts. A stack length code 5 increases active iron volume so the motor can support these torque levels without overheating in normal servo duty. Torque rises with phase current at 16.3 lb-in/A, while generated back EMF follows a voltage constant of 193 V/Krpm; both values must suit the connected servo drive. The square 4 series frame has a width of 4.25 inches, which helps it fit inch-based machine layouts and mate with common gearbox interfaces. A standard winding completes the electromagnetic circuit.
The housing weighs 22.0 lbs, which adds stability without making the motor unusually bulky for machine installation. The enclosure is rated IP65, and the front end uses a Viton shaft seal to help protect the bearings from coolant splash and fine dust. The rotor uses Ferrite magnets, which provide stable flux density over a wide temperature span. Because the motor has no secondary feedback device, position data must come from the primary resolver or encoder connected to the drive. It is also supplied without a holding brake, so any static load retention must be provided by the drive or external mechanics.
