The VACIIB D11-B is a reliable spindle drive from Okuma, known for its consistent performance and durability in high-demand machining environments. This drive has an input power range of AC170V to AC250V and runs at 50/60Hz, so that it can be used with a number of electrical systems worldwide. The control signal cable is connected to CN1, and the motor signal cable is connected to connector CN3, which permits metal-to-metal communication between the drive and the motor.
One of the reliable components of the VACIIB D11-B is the transistor module. This is powered by the EVM31-050A, a highly efficient module from Fuji rated at 150A and 600V. This means it can safely handle a high electric current of 150 amps and a voltage of 600 volts. The transistor module helps regulate the flow of electric charge to the motor, rapidly switching it on and off to ensure smooth and efficient operation. It is also essential for improving both the energy efficiency and performance of the drive. Another transistor module (although of comparable performance), the QM150DX-H, is also available.
VACIIB D11-B has four fuses (F.G.B.O) rated at 5A to protect the spindle drive circuit against electrical damage. The fuses are fitted to interrupt the circuit when the current exceeds 5 amps to avoid damaging the internal components of the drive. Components like fuses act as safety switches and play a crucial role in ensuring the drive operates safely. Also, a 3.2 A-rated warning fuse (SMP32) is present that warns the user in case of any power-related problems.
