Product Description:

The VACA D8-A Drive offers 8kW spindle drive capacity and it includes both control PCB and power supply modules. This Okuma manufactured module connects via terminal blocks labeled E‑U‑V‑W‑N1‑P1 for motor power and terminals for encoder feedback and it follows the VAC‑II series layout.

This VACA D8-A Spindle Drive supports both analog and optical interfaces, selectable via internal switches that configure capacity and interface type and its control section hosts multiple status LEDs for charge, power on as well as for detecting error. It features connectors for pulse generator feedback, motor brake signals and monitoring of speed and torque and it includes SCR output stages with protective detection for overcurrent and ground faults and a control fuse of 3.2 amperes. This module's DIP switches allow resetting of servo axes and it supports output of single axis as well as double axis when fitted with extra control boards. It is often employed in CNC spindle control for industrial automation systems as it delivers precise speed and torque control with a built in feature of monitoring. It comes with a terminal base that supports M4 screw termination and its feedback channels include analog 0 to 10 volts torque and speed outputs.

The VACA D8-A Spindle Drive drive protective circuits cover DC voltage abnormalities and regeneration discharge and it also includes hard wired motor thermal brake control. This spindle drive module firmware is stored on the control floppy ROM and it matches drive units such as D‑11A and D‑22A in modular VAC‑II / VAC‑III series and it fully maintains compatibility with Okuma spindle motors and VAC system architecture.
