Product Description:
The Okuma VAC3-D22 is an industrial servo drive. It is designed for operation with three-phase AC input at 200 Volt. The drive can operate over the entire voltage range from 180 to 220 Volts AC. The range of input frequencies supported by the VAC3-D22 is 49 to 62 Hertz. The output of the drive depends on the power capacity of the input power supply. For power supplies rated for 45 kVA output, the VAC3-D22 can deliver 30 kilowatts or 40 Horsepower to the motor. For power supplies rated for 33 kVA output, the VAC3-D22 can deliver 22 kilowatts or 30 Horsepower to the motor. Dust and foreign matter can accumulate on the fan guard and ventilation hole of the motor leading to a reduction in the heat radiation efficiency of the motor. Okuma recommends daily inspection of the VAC drive and motor units.
The fan guard and the ventilation hole on the motor should be cleaned with compressed air or a vacuum clearer. The VAC3-D22 is fitted with a heat sink cooling fan. Dust and foreign matter can also accumulate on the heat sink. Therefore, the heat sink should also be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner to remove the dust and foreign matter. The drive requires 0 to 55 degrees Celsius internal temperature and 0 to 45 degrees Celsius ambient temperature for optimal performance. If the drive is not used and is kept in storage, the ambient temperature of the storage area should be maintained between -20 and 60 degrees Celsius. The tools used for maintenance of the VAC3-D22 drive include an AC voltmeter, an analog circuit tester and a Phillips screwdriver. Installation and maintenance of the drive should be carried out by trained personnel.
Frequently Asked Questions about VAC3-D22:
Q: What is the operational voltage range for the VAC3-D22 servo drive?
A: The VAC3-D22 is designed for three-phase AC input at 200 Volts and can operate over a voltage range from 180 to 220 Volts AC. This wide range ensures it can handle fluctuations in the power supply.
Q: Which input frequencies are supported by the VAC3-D22?
A: The VAC3-D22 supports input frequencies ranging from 49 to 62 Hertz, making it versatile for various industrial applications and power grids with different frequency standards.
Q: How does the power output of the VAC3-D22 vary with the input power supply capacity?
A: Depending on the input power supply, for a 45 kVA-rated supply, the drive can deliver up to 30 kilowatts or 40 Horsepower; and for a 33 kVA-rated supply, it delivers 22 kilowatts or 30 Horsepower.
Q: How should the fan guard, ventilation hole, and heat sink be maintained to ensure optimal efficiency?
A: Dust accumulation on the fan guard, ventilation hole, and heat sink can impact the heat radiation efficiency. It's recommended to clean these areas with compressed air or a vacuum cleaner periodically to ensure the motor and drive's longevity.
Q: What are the optimal temperature conditions for the VAC3-D22’s performance and storage?
A: The drive requires an internal temperature of 0 to +55 degrees Celsius and an ambient temperature of 0 to +45 degrees Celsius for best performance. When in storage, the ambient temperature should be between -20 and +60 degrees Celsius to safeguard the drive's components.
