The MIV0404-1-B3 is yet another high-quality inverter unit created to be used with various motors from Okuma. The MIV unit is easy to connect and offers exceptional value for money as it is a unit that is built to last a long time in your machine. This type of unit will communicate with peripherals via three links; the encoder link, the servo link and the converter link. The inverter unit features a built-in control board that will serve as the means of controlling whatever motor it is working with. This inverter unit can be supplied with DC power via a 24 VDC control power unit or a 300VD power supply unit. You will be happy to know that you can power two different inverter units with the same DC power supply.

The MIV0404-1-B3 is an intuitive device with a 7 segment LED to share operational stats with you. The display has two different information modes. One mode simply shows the current normal operation status and one mode will show alarm status. The display will provide an error number if there is an alarm which can help you to figure out what exactly is going wrong with the unit or your machine.

In this inverter unit, the FCP board is the master station in the servo link. It is the servo link that allows the MIV unit to then connect to the network. When setting the controller ID number for the MIV unit, one will need to set the units according to axis names. A 5-bit switch is provided by Bosch for the setting of the controller ID number which should be set referring to the controller ID table in the product manual.
