Product Description

Servo-amplifiers are a key part of servomechanism that ensures the right signals are sent to the motor for driving the load. While a lot of automation manufacturers might claim the capacity of their servo drives to be phenomenal, the BLII-D series of servo-amplifiers have been tested and confirmed for accuracy, precision, and enhanced motion control, over the period of their availability and applications to advanced industrial machining. These reports of an excellent drive are consistent with the reputation of the manufacturing company ‘Okuma’, a major manufacturer of machine tools, drives and CNC machines.

The BLII-D100A, while unique in performance, also features all the advantages of the BLII-D series. It has a built-in circuitry for dissipating regenerative energy that may builds up due to potential loading options. For extra caution, it also features an LED indicator for displaying alarm information during the transfer of such information to the SVPII board. These safety features are safe guards to ensure the drive operates to the expected degree of reliability and durability it promises. Based on the name code for this drive, it is a 1-axis unit type with a unit power capacity of ‘100’.

This further suggests that it can only support one motor at a time and is only compatible with motors that have output power ratings in the range of 4kW – 6kW; for example, the BL-MH401E-12 motor. For controlling the attached motor, this drive generates a current signal between 25A and 83A for continuous and maximum output capacities. This current is sent as PWM (pulse-width-modulated) signals via an integrated-gate-bipolar-transistor (IGBT) to the motor. This implies a digitized approach to the servomechanism, which is also more efficient and accurate.
