Product Description:

Okuma made the OSP-U10M CNC monitor that can work with both one-axis and two-axis control setups. For controller ID configuration, the monitor features a 5-bit switch that may be positioned on either the L or M axis side. Applications requiring precise control through monitoring and data processing are made possible by the design.

The main power source for the OSP-U10M CNC monitor is 300 VDC, and the control power supply is 24 VDC. An electromagnetic contactor sends 200 VAC to the machine. On the encoder interface, there are A-phase and B-phase outputs with a Vpp range of 2.6 V to 4.6 V. It transmits Vz1 values equivalent to or greater than 1.4 V and Vz2 values equivalent to or greater than 0.5 V. The M2 is capable of transmitting torque between -3 V and +3 V, with a maximum torque level of 3 V. Monitoring terminals A, B, Z, M1, and M2 are used to obtain diagnostic information and provide signal feedback. The sequencing of the launch LEDs commences at "3" and progresses through "4", "5", and "6." It ends with either "J" or "C", depending on the axis configuration.

The OSP-U10M CNC monitor transmission interface includes a servo link and a converter link. Through servo and converter link connections, OSP works with spindle motors and axis drive motors. These are essential for motion control in industrial automation. For two-axis models, the startup LED pattern shows the same steps on both the L and M sides. The voltage range for both the A-phase encoder signal and the B-phase signal is the same. The encoder signal structure can be synced with motion directions. The OSP monitor has a 24 VDC control power source that keeps the signal stable.

Frequently Asked Questions about OSP-U10M:

Q: Why does OSP-U10M include a 5-bit switch?

A: The 5-bit switch in OSP-U10M sets controller IDs for L or M axis sides. It ensures correct axis mapping.

Q: How does OSP-U10M detect voltage line errors?

A: OSP-U10M detects +5V, +12V, and –12V line errors. It helps prevent component malfunction due to voltage instability.

Q: Why does OSP-U10M support Z-phase signal timing?

A: The Z-phase signal timing (0.1T to 0.4T) allows precise speed synchronization. It enables accurate positioning and motion control.

Q: Does OSP-U10M provide feedback through encoder signals?

A: Yes, OSP-U10M provides A, B, and Z encoder signals. These allow precise real-time motor position tracking and control.

Q: How do M1 and M2 outputs work in OSP-U10M?

A: M1 outputs motor speed from 3 V to +3 V. M2 outputs torque, peaking at 3 V signal input.
