The OSP5020M is a high-performance numerical control system designed by Okuma Automation for industrial motion control. Compared to conventional numerical controllers, this product has several features that make it the perfect choice for industrial engineers. The special features of this controller include an alarm monitor data processing system, advanced online automatic data processing function, and large data storage capacity for the storage of configuration instructions. There is also a high-performance processor integrated into this motor unit to help it handle sophisticated Numerical control functions. The OSP5020M is controlled by a software unit that can be easily changed to adapt the operation of the product to new application requirements in the future. The feedback unit used by this product is a closed loop system feedback with absolute positioning capability.
Apart from the display unit integrated into the front panel of this product, there are also several pressure-sensitive keys designed to transmit command instructions into the product. The keys are separated into categories based on their functions. The cooling unit of this product includes an air blower that is installed to generate cool air and dissipate excess heat from the housing of the controller. Sufficient clearance must be provided to allow for easy movement of cool air around this product.
The OSP5020M features a floppy disk unit which can be optionally used to load Numeric control software into this product; there is also a tape reader used to store taped commands into the memory unit.
