Okuma manufactured the OSP10M Controller for CNC machines and machines that control automation, equipment placement, and motion. Applications that require fine-grained control over machining processes are ideal for this controller. The OSP10M's cutting-edge hardware and software integration allows it to deliver high-performance functionality.

The OSP10M CNC controller is equipped with a CNC Processing Unit for complex machining operations. The controller provides lots of room for software due to its compatibility with various RAM and ROM configurations. Machine models dictate whether the display is monochrome or color CRT. The controller may control up to five axes of motion: X, Y, Z, and any additional linear or rotary axes required for milling or lathe applications. The controller runs on an exclusive real-time CNC operating system and needs an input voltage ranging from 200V to 240V AC. For exact spindle control, the motion control system incorporates an integrated speed regulator with a variable frequency drive (VFD). The use of incremental and absolute encoders allows for feedback, guaranteeing precise motion. Different methods of interpolation, such as linear, circular, and helical, are available through the system that depends on the version of the program that is being used.

The OSP10M CNC controller supports G-Code, an ISO standard programming language that is widely used in CNC machining. It has pre-programmed cycles for tapping, milling, and drilling, as well as conversational programming. The controller also includes tool offset management for more precise milling.
