It serves as the primary human-machine interface on compatible machine tools, presenting programming data, position feedback, and system alarms directly at the workstation. By linking the numerical control to the operator, the monitor supports precise setup, real-time verification, and on-screen diagnostics during machining operations. This arrangement keeps key status information visible at the machine instead of requiring a separate display terminal.
The unit uses a 15 in active-matrix screen that is large enough to show multiple information windows at the same time. The control resolves numeric entries to 8 decimal digits, allowing small offsets to be entered with very fine granularity.
