Product Description:
The E9101-I06-001 is a durable optic cable manufactured by Okuma for practical automation systems and applications. Like other original Okuma cables, the E9101-I06-001 has an orange coating, implying a pure glass core. It comes with a terminal cover on both ends, which protects the contact point from moisture and foreign materials. The E9101-I06-001 has a length of 3 meters and can be used directly for systems requiring high-speed data transmission. Unlike copper or traditional signal cables, fiber optic cables boast superior transmission speed. Since the signal is propagated through internal reflection, the transmission speed is much higher.
For most optic cables, the transmission speed can go as high as 10 Gbps, while the typical transmission speed is around 1 Gbps. The E9101-I06-001, like other fiber optic cables, consists of a pure glass core and a cladding layer for magnifying light reflection. The innermost core and the cladding layer are both made of high-quality glass material. The outermost layer, called the buffer, serves as the outer jacket of the fiber optic cable, which preserves the integrity of the core and inhibits moisture penetration. As part of Okuma’s cable series, the E9101-I06-001 can be used with other electrical modules, automation devices, and communication tools that support Ethernet connection or other high-speed protocols.
The E9101-I06-001 is usually sold as an optional or additional accessory. If wire extenders or adapters are available, it is possible to connect this cable with other fiber optic cables for long-distance transmission. Due to their high-speed transmission capabilities, fiber optic cables such as the E9101-I06-001 are usually more expensive than traditional copper wires or signal cables. Wake Industrial offers a one-year warranty upon purchase of the E9101-I06-001.
Frequently Asked Questions about E9101-I06-001:
Q: Is the E9101-I06-001 a bidirectional cable?
A: Yes, as a fiber optic cable, the E9101-I06-001 supports bidirectional communication.
Q: What is the permissible ambient temperature range for the E9101-I06-001?
A: For most fiber optic cables like the E9101-I06-001, the permissible ambient temperature range is usually between -40 and 75 degrees Celsius.
Q: What type of material is usually used for the E9101-I06-001’s outer jacket?
A: For most fiber optic cables, like the E9101-I06-001, the outer jacket is usually made from high-quality plastic material.
Q: Why are fiber optic cables used for high-speed transmission?
A: Fiber optic cables such as the E9101-I06-001 are usually used for high-speed transmission because they use light instead of current to propagate signals during operation.
Q: What is the main principle behind fiber optic cables such as the E9101-I06-001?
A: Fiber optic cables such as the E9101-I06-001 rely on internal reflection to facilitate bidirectional communication.
