The E9101-106-006 fiber optic interface cable is developed by Okuma for signal conversion in industrial automation systems. The card enables reliable communication between the Fieldnet I/O unit and the ECPIIA control board.
The E9101-106-006 cable converts electrical signals into optical pulses for transmission to CCOP cards and reconverts received optical signals into an electrical format. In addition to serving as the principal Fieldnet I/O station, the card can be mounted directly onto the ECPIIA board. A bright orange jacket, which shows that it is a multi-mode fiber, is attached to a fiber optic cable that is one meter long and has two cores. The cable supports high-speed short-distance data transmission between the FN card and CCOP card. The connector heads are constructed of black plastic with locking clips that provide firm and secure attachment. The cable diameter is approximately 2–3 mm, that allows flexible routing within compact control enclosures. According to the form and the locking characteristics, the connector type is most likely either a Duplex LC or an SC. Furthermore, the cable is in accordance with the transmission requirements of control system boards, as well as the color of the orange jacket.
