Product Description:

The E4809-770-065-B is a control board produced by Okuma for the E4809 CNC Boards series. It forms the interface between motion commands from the numerical controller and the power modules that drive each machine axis, coordinating feedback and safety signals inside a machining center or lathe. By separating logic-level control power from motor supply power, the board supports precise spindle and feed motion while remaining electrically compatible with the broader drive platform. It also passes status and interlock signals between control sections so the machine can respond quickly to faults and operating-state changes.

The control section operates on a single-phase supply at 100 V AC, so only a low-current branch circuit is needed for logic, I/O, and diagnostic circuitry. In contrast, motor power and regenerative braking energy are routed through a three-phase main circuit rated at 200 V AC, giving the downstream servo amplifiers the required line voltage. The board manages position commands for 2 axes, translating encoder information into velocity references while supervising overcurrent and thermal flags. Internal terminal block Xb6 exposes pins 6 through 10 at the same potential used in the main circuit, which helps simplify daisy-chain wiring to adjacent amplifier cards.

The higher-rated motor connector is dedicated to the 1st Axis, reserving extra current capacity for applications where one drive must handle a larger table or spindle. Environmental limits include 75% RH noncondensing humidity and mechanical stress up to 0.5 G vibration, which helps preserve signal stability in typical shop-floor conditions. A built-in reset switch allows local clearing of fault latches without cycling cabinet power. That arrangement supports recovery after trips without removing control power from the cabinet.
